This is an early picture of Harriet and her two sons Sandy and Tom.
During the winters, when the tourist season seemed to end, Harriet did find time to travel. And at the same time, she continued to buy items for 7 Arts Antiques.
Even as Harriet aged, the warmth of her smile and the love in her eyes were clear. Here she is serving as the cashier in the family's Easter Flower Fund sale in 1983. The Easter Flower Fund is worthy of its own story....maybe later :-)
Harriet's parents were immigrants who first lived in lower Manhattan and later moved to rural New Jersey (Passiac!) where they could do some simple farming and her father could open a small tailor shop.
Here is a picture of Harriet and her younger sister, Frances (Fan). This is about 1910 with Harrier at 6 years old. Here is a picture of Harriet and her first husband Sydney with her parents. We are not sure of the location. The picture could be from the late 1940s or very early 1950-ish. Harriet was divorced soon after.
